Admissions Details

Admissions at Phoenix Academy School are open for the academic year 2017 - 18 and allocation of seats are subject to availability of seats. Right to admission is reserved and subject to the decision of PWS management.

As the number of seats are limited, the admissions process is completely transparent and on the basis of merit. Therefore, minimum age for admission is on a discretionary basis. Children are evaluated at the time of application for the program applied to, and based on this evaluation, admission is confirmed.

General Rules

1. 1. It is compulsory for all the students to attend the school Assembly in the morning. Late arrivals after the first five minutes may not be admitted to class without the Principal’s Permission
2. 2. Parents are not allowed enter the classroom during the school hours.
3. 3. No person or parent is allowed to be in the premises during the school hours.
4. 4. Students are strictly forbidden to buy eatables from vendors
5. 5. No Jewellery is to be worn by the students during the school hours
6. 6. School does not accept responsibility for the loss of a books , money & clothes and so on. each child is responsible.
7. 7. No article is accepted for the children from the hands of unknown persons.
8. 8. Students should refrain from using bad / improper language .
9. 9. Students should always conduct, themselves , worthy of the school.
10. 10. Students in uniform are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both in the school and outside .
11. 11. In order to have a better command on English Language , it is obligatory on the part of every student to speak in English during the School hours.
12. 12. As a precautionary measure students suffering from any contagious disease such as Measles , Hepatitis, chicken pox , Influenza etc will not be allowed to enter the school premises. They can rejoin school only after a note from parents along with a Doctor’s Certificate.
13. 13. Parents are advised to immunize and vaccinate their wards against diseases such as measles, Hepatitis , Chicken pox and others.
14. 14. Any student who comes to school without a proper haircut or uncut and unclean nails will not be allowed to sit in the class. Girls have to wear a house colour hair band or plait their hair.
15. 15. Students are not allowed to wear rings or hanging ear rings.
16. 16. A strict disciplinary action will be taken against a student who does not bring his / her books notebooks or comes to class without doing his / her Homework.

Commencement of Academic Year

The academic year begins in the month of June. The admission process, is therefore, completed by the end of May.

Orientation Program

Prior to the commencement of an academic year, an orientation program is organized for parents of students whose children are new joiners at PWS. This program helps the parents to get acquainted with the teachers at PWS, school activities and facilities offered at PWS.

Communication between parents and teachers

Communication between parents and teachers is absolutely essential to ensure that no aspect of their child’s education is left ignored. Parents are encouraged to stay in touch with their child’s teachers on a daily basis. A communication booklet is allocated to each child at the time of admission and it is required on their person on a daily basis. Teachers can communication important information and areas of concern to parents via this booklet.

School Uniform

A student will maintain personal attire and grooming standards that promote safety, health, and acceptable standards of social conduct, and are not disruptive to the educational environment.
